Prostate Cancer Care Appeal

History
The BUI Prostate Cancer Care Appeal was launched in 2000 to raise funds for the Bristol Urological Prostate Cancer Care Centre within the BUI building. To date over £310,000 has been raised of which £100,000 contributed towards the new building. The Prostate Cancer Care and Research Centre at the Bristol Urological Institute concentrates on high quality research into prostate cancer and other urological cancers and provides treatment, support and information to patients and their families.

The Prostate Cancer Care and Reseach Centre aims to be in the forefront of the assessment and development of new technologies into the treatment of prostate cancer.

Mr John Miles, a local businessman who previously suffered from prostate cancer, chairs the BUI Prostate Cancer Care Appeal.

Funding
We rely upon the generosity of the public in providing funds for the appeal.
