Education - Consolidation Your Practice

 

Course Overview:
The course is aimed at Healthcare Professionals regularly undertaking urodynamics studies who have already attended either the Basic or any of the Certificate courses affiliated to the Bristol Urological Institute.

This is the 3rd course which has been designed to address the needs expressed in the Certificate course feedback. The course will include “hands on” sessions and delegates will be able to choose 3 workshops to attend. There will be the opportunity to bring traces for discussion.

 

Course places will be limited to 12.    The course fee is £125.00

9:30    Introduction to the day

9:45    Principles of Urodynamics (revision)

10:15  Setting up equipment (revision)

10:45  Coffee

11:15  Interpretation of traces (revision)

11:45  Workshops (1)

12:30  Lunch

13:15  Troubleshooting revisited

13:45  Workshops (2)

14:30  Tea & Coffee

14:45  Workshop (3)

15:30  Feedback & general comments

16:00  End of course

Delegates will be able to choose 3 workshops to attend. Workshops include:

  1. Setting up equipment and troubleshooting (“get interactive” with the equipment.
  2. Performing a ‘dummy test’
  3. Interpretation of traces – interactive (male & female cases)
  4. ICS guidelines and Good Urodynamic Practice
  5. Producing a report
  6. Better use of urodynamic equipment software
  7. Ambulatory monitoring
  8. Topics of your choice – written requests in advance
