Education - Basic Urodynamics


 
Course Overview:

The course is designed for those who are interested but not already experienced in the subject, the main part of the course being held on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th May.

There will be an optional practical day on Wednesday 9th May. This day is intended for nurses and technicians with LITTLE or NO URODYNAMIC EXPERIENCE who wish to have an introduction to the practical aspect of urodynamics. Doctors who are particularly interested in the practical aspects of urodynamics may join this day.
Attendance is limited to 24 participants.

The Main Course on Thursday and Friday places emphasis on the clinical application of urodynamic techniques, but to allow perspective, the Course will include a discussion on lower urinary tract dysfunction and its assessment.

There will be a concurrent exhibition of available urodynamic equipment.

Numbers will be limited to 80 for the Main Course on Thursday and Friday

Course Venues:

The optional practical day will be held in the Roger Fenely Seminar Room, Bristol Urological Institute, Southmead Hospital, Bristol.

The main couse will be held in the Watershed Media Centre,
1 Canon's Road, Harbourside, Bristol, BS1 5TX.

The Watershed is very close to the Ibis Hotel and set within the historic Bristol harour.

Costs:

Registration Fee:
£500.00 for the 3 day Course
£425.00 for the 2 day Course

Course fee includes:
3rd edition of “Urodynamics” textbook
Evening meal on Thursday 10th May
Lunch on all Course days
Transport between Ibis Hotel and Southmead Hospital

The course fee does NOT include accommodation.


 
Accommodation:

The Ibis Hotel, Explore Lane, Harbourside, Bristol BS1 4TY, www.ibishotel.co.uk, has reserved rooms for us, which will be held until April 8th.

  • The cost per room (single or double occupancy) is £69.00 per night
  • Breakfast is included in the price.
  • Parking is available at Millennium Square Car-park next to the hotel. (The cost is £12 per day for hotel guests.)

If you need information regarding your reservation at the Ibis, please contact us as the hotel will not have individuals’ names until April 8th.

Please do not forget to book your accommodation a.s.a.p. as we cannot guarantee inexpensive accommodation after April 8th.
